All you need to know about flying in and out of the United States

WHITE FORM: Arrival and Departure record

Complete this form if:

● You are NOT a US citizen AND
● You DO NOT hold a valid US Visa AND
● Your final destination is the United States OR you are passing through the US to your final destination Please complete items 1-13 on the Arrival Record and items 14-17 on the Departure Record. Keep the Departure Record until you leave the US

GREEN FORM: Visa waiver

Complete this form if:

● You are NOT a US citizen AND
● You hold a valid US Visa AND
● Your final destination is the United States OR you are passing through the US to your final destination Please complete items 1-13 on the Arrival Record and items 14-17 on the Departure Record. Keep the Departure Record until you leave the US

Complete both sides of the form if:

● You are travelling to the US, or passing through, without a US visa under the ‘Visa Waiver Programme’AND
● You hold a passport to one of these countries: Andorra, Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brunei, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Monaco, The Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, San Marino, Singapore, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Uruguay. *This list is subject to change.

BLUE FORM: Customs and Declaration form

You must fill in the Customs Declaration form before you arrive in the US. One form per household is required.

Before you leave the plane

You must fill in the Immigration Visa and Customs forms, which will be handed out at check-in. You’re legally obliged to fill them in – please make sure they’re correctly completed or you may face delays at Immigration. If you do make any mistakes, please ask for a new form.

Which forms do I need?
Depending on your circumstances, you will either need a white or green Immigration form, plus a Customs Declaration form. We’ve put together some tips (below) to help you avoid the most common mistakes.

Exceptions
You DO NOT need to complete an Immigration form if you are:
● A US citizen
● A Canadian citizen
● A Green Card holder
● A new immigrant

Filling in your forms
DO:
● Take your time
● Write in capital letters, using a pen
● Write in the space below the questions and fill in every line. When asked for your address, if you are a visitor to the US, then print the name of your hotel. If you are on a fly-drive holiday, then either of the following addresses should be given: Sanford – Airtours, 1,650 Sand Lake, Suite 300, Orlando, FL32809. OR Las Vegas – C/O Airtours, Las Vegas, Nevada.
● Sign and date the back of your Customs Declaration form
● Double-check your forms
● Ask the cabin crew if you have any queries

DO NOT:
● Cross anything out. If you make a mistake, ask for a new form, and start again.
