Lake Powell
Lake Powell Utah is a must "do whatever it takes to get here" trip. Incredibly
stunning. This is one of only four places I return to over and over again. The other places are Florida,
San Francisco, and Las Vegas. Lake Powell has thousands of acres of crystal clear water, lakes, streams,
gulches, mountains, cliffs, rock formations, and desert plants. We put our kayaks in at the Wahweap ½ mile long boat ramp. We kayaked
through the canyons, snorkeled in the 15 feet plus visibility water, and then laid
on the big flat rocks to "warm back up".

A popular way to experience Lake Powell
is with a large group of friends. Just rent houseboat that sleeps up to 14 people along with four
4 jet skis, for $5,000 - $8,000 a week. Split the cost and you have an unforgettable vacation. If you can only experience one
boat-based trip in your lifetime it has to be LAKE POWELL! We have talked to many experienced travelers
and they all say there is nothing like this place in the entire world. Boat to and hike the antelope canyon portion
too. We have tent camped here before in the summer time but by the end of the day you are so tired and the
evenings are sweltering that we usually pay the fee for rv hookup. The best time to visit is only in the summer months when the water is warm enough to swim in. This is an easy trip to do with kids,
no biting insects.
Lake Powell is an absolute blast to explore. We always have so much fun kayaking into the narrow channels to see what new rocks and canyons there are to find. When kayaking Antelope Canyon and the water stopped flowing we parked the kayaks and walked about a mile between the rock walls on soft sand. Visit Lake Powell mud fights for more information
